Anti-US banner appears on former embassy in Afghanistan

A large anti-American banner has been placed on the exterior wall of the former US embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.

The banner, which has drawn attention for both its size and message, features the bold declaration: “The Afghan nation has defeated America”, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media. 

The statement is seen as a provocative symbol amid the continuing political and social shifts in Afghanistan following the US withdrawal in 2021 and the Taliban’s return to power. It remains unclear who is responsible for placing the banner, and no group has yet claimed credit.
