Apple tops world’s most valuable brands for fourth straight year
Apple has maintained its position as the world’s most valuable brand for the fourth consecutive year in 2025, according to the annual BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands report.
The company’s brand value rose 28% over the year, reaching $1.3 trillion.
Following Apple are Google (Alphabet Inc.), whose value increased by 25% to $944.1 billion; Microsoft Corp., up 24% to $884.8 billion; and Amazon.com Inc., which saw a 50% jump to $866.1 billion.
Nvidia Corp. ranked fifth, with its brand value surging 2.5 times to $509.4 billion. Social media platforms Facebook and Instagram, both owned by Meta (banned in Russia and recognised as extremist), came in next with values of $300.7 billion and $229 billion, respectively, pushing McDonald’s Corp. down from fifth place last year to eighth, with a slight decline of 0.4% to $221 billion.
Oracle Corp. and Visa Inc. also secured positions in the top ten, with their brand values rising 48% to $215.35 billion and 12.9% to $213.35 billion, respectively. Chinese technology company Tencent moved from tenth to eleventh place, growing 28.7% to $174 billion.
Beyond Nvidia, other brands that more than doubled their value in the past year include Chinese companies Huawei ($64.7 billion, 39th place) and Xiaomi ($21.9 billion, 96th place), as well as American VMware Inc. ($47 billion, 55th place).
The top 100 list also welcomed several newcomers: ChatGPT ($43.6 billion, 60th place), Stripe ($26.1 billion, 85th place), Chipotle Mexican Grill ($26.1 billion, 86th place), and Swedish streaming platform Spotify ($29.7 billion, 76th place).
The BrandZ Top 100 ranking, compiled by Kantar since 2006, is based on both financial performance and feedback from around 4.5 million consumers worldwide.
