Zelenskyy confirms deep strike on Russia's Yaroslavl refinery VIDEO

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed that Ukrainian forces struck an oil refinery in Russia’s Yaroslavl region, approximately 1,000 kilometres from the front line, as well as a Russian Tu-95MS strategic missile carrier at an airfield in Engels.

In a statement, Zelenskyy said Ukrainian Defence Forces had targeted the refinery over the previous 24 hours, describing the strike as a response to Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine.

“Over the past 24 hours, the warriors of our Ukrainian Defence Forces struck an oil refinery in the Yaroslavl region. The distance is 1,000 kilometres from the front line. There were also our just responses to Russia’s war in the Black Sea,” Zelenskyy said.

He also said personnel from the Security Service of Ukraine’s (SBU) Alpha special unit had struck a Russian Tu-95MS strategic bomber at the Engels air base.

According to Zelenskyy, aircraft of this type are used by Russia to carry out missile strikes against targets in Ukraine.
