Arab states move closer to Israel over Iran threat, says Netanyahu
28 May 2026 23:24
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that Arab countries are building ties with Israel not because of the peace process with the Palestinians, but because they view Israel as a strong military ally against Iran.
He added that countries in the region are seeking partnership with Israel because they fear being “conquered by Iran,” according to Clash Report Telegram channel.
Netanyahu also rejected concessions on the issue of Palestinian statehood, describing such an approach as a sign of “weakness.”
The statement reflects the Israeli prime minister’s position that regional alliances should primarily be built around containing Iran rather than resolving the Palestinian issue.
