07 September 2024 12:58
Argentine authorities have formally requested that the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) seek an arrest warrant for Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, citing allegations of crimes against humanity.
The Argentine government has urged the ICC prosecutor to petition the court’s pre-trial chamber for the issuance of the arrest warrant, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
The request is based on accusations that Maduro's actions amount to severe violations of human rights and international law. Additionally, Argentina is calling for arrest warrants for several high-ranking Venezuelan officials who are also implicated in these alleged crimes.
