Argentine president to visit Israel on official trip

Argentine President Javier Milei will make an official visit to Israel, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar announced during the Argentine Festival.

Describing Milei as a friend of Israel, Sa’ar said he will visit the country on Independence Day, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.

The two countries are also actively discussing the possibility of establishing direct flights between Argentina and Israel.

According to media reports, Milei is expected to be tasked with lighting the Independence Day torch in recognition of his contributions to strengthening ties with the Jewish people.
