Armenia seeks new markets for agricultural exports, FM says
Armenia is actively seeking new export markets for its agricultural products, particularly fruits, vegetables, berries and flowers, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has stated.
Speaking at a government meeting, Mirzoyan said Armenian products have attracted significant interest in a number of regions, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
“I can mention the European Union market, Central Asia, Arab countries such as Iraq, and our closest neighbours, including Türkiye, which are showing interest despite existing restrictions,” he noted.
According to the minister, pilot export shipments have already taken place in some cases, while exports to other destinations are expected in the coming days and weeks.
Mirzoyan acknowledged that logistical challenges remain in certain directions but said the government is working to address them and support businesses.
“Despite the challenge, which does not appear to have developed into a serious crisis, it has created significant opportunities for us. What we have discussed and planned for a long time is now taking place — the diversification of export and consumer markets for Armenian products,” he added.
