Armenian ex-defence minister to be put on international wanted list
The Armenian Prosecutor General's Office will declare ex-Defence Minister Vigen Sargsyan on the international wanted list.
The Armenian Prosecutor General's Office said that the criminal prosecution initiated against Sargsyan was suspended, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
At the same time, the office initiated the process of declaring Vigen Sargsyan on the international wanted list.
Notably, the Armenian Prosecutor General's Office earlier reported that former Armenian Defence Minister Vigen Sargsyan was charged and a motion for arrest was submitted to the court.
According to the investigation, the former head of the defence ministry, holding the position of minister in 2016-2018, committed abuses during the distribution of apartments for servicemen.
