Armenian official raps opposition for efforts to keep ex-president’s son out of jail
"Four parliamentarians from the Armenia bloc have already abandoned their parliamentary mandates, the goal is to make Kocharyan Jr. a parliamentarian, and the ultimate goal is to free Kocharyan Jr. from criminal liability."
Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armenian prime minister Taron Chakhoyan wrote about this on his Facebook page, commenting on the opposition’s attempt to transfer a deputy mandate to the son of Robert Kocharyan, Caliber.Az reports.
“From the very first day of its creation, this alliance had nothing to do with the state interests of Armenia, but served and continues to serve exclusively the family interests of one person who became a `hostage’ in the hands of agents. It would be naive to think that the four members of the alliance who refused their mandates, or the remaining members of the alliance, will take into account the opinion of the public that voted for them. The man who beat people in toilets and organized March 1 has never interested in the opinion of the public,” writes Taron Chakhoyan.
