Azerbaijan showcases two SU-25 jets at Türkiye’s Anatolian Eagle-2025 drills

03 July 2025 11:59

This year’s international “Anatolian Eagle – 2025” military exercises are underway in Konya, Türkiye, featuring an impressive fleet of 75 aircraft from around the world.

At a recent press conference, Turkish Air Force spokesperson Fetek Karakuş highlighted that the exercise includes 45 planes from Türkiye’s own Air Force alongside 30 aircraft representing other nations, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

He emphasised Azerbaijan’s presence, noting, “Azerbaijan is represented at the exercises by two SU-25 aircraft.”

Beyond Azerbaijan and Türkiye, the extensive list of participating countries includes the United States, Qatar, Hungary, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and NATO forces, reflecting the multinational nature of the event.

In addition to these active participants, Malaysia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Mali, and Nigeria are attending as observers, keenly watching the manoeuvres without direct involvement.

The core objective of Anatolian Eagle is to foster the exchange of crucial knowledge, sharpen combat skills, and build experience under realistic war conditions. These efforts aim to elevate the readiness and coordination of allied forces for future joint operations.

The scale of the event is underscored by the robust media presence — representatives from 34 countries are covering the exercises, and more than 1,100 photographers are capturing the dynamic training flights.
