ASTRA: Russian forces attack Zaporizhzhia, killing two women

Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia, killing two women and injuring a four-year-old boy and a 45-year-old man, according to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration (OVA), cited by ASTRA.

A Russian drone struck a private house in one of the city’s districts, triggering a fire and causing the building to collapse. A residential building and a non-residential property were also damaged, OVA head Mykhailo Semikin said.

Rescuers initially reported that two people might be trapped under the rubble as emergency crews worked to clear the site.

Later, the bodies of two women were recovered from the ruins of the residential building.
