At least 11 dead as tourist bus overturns in Mexico Photo
A holiday Labour Day weekend journey ended in tragedy in western Mexico after a tourist bus overturned, killing at least 11 people and injuring 31 others, authorities said.
The accident occurred on May 1 in the state of Nayarit, when the bus—traveling from the neighbouring state of Jalisco—veered off a highway and overturned near the town of Amatlán de Cañas, according to the state government, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.

Officials said the passengers were en route to a recreational center in Nayarit at the time of the crash. Emergency services from both Nayarit and Jalisco were deployed, shutting down the road as rescue operations and an investigation got underway.
Photographs released by authorities showed the bus lying on its side, partially covered in mud.
