At least four drones enter Moldovan airspace

At least four drones entered Moldovan airspace on the morning of September 24, with the country's Defence Ministry reporting several violations of its airspace.

The ministry, quoted by Moldovan media, said the drones entered Moldova from neighbouring Ukraine, including from the Vinnytsia and Chernivtsi regions.

“The Air Operations Service continues to monitor the national airspace in coordination with the competent authorities and partners,” the Defence Ministry said.

Authorities subsequently closed Moldova's airspace in the northern part of the country as a security precaution.

The reported incidents occurred as Moldova continued to monitor aerial activity near its border with Ukraine amid the ongoing war in neighbouring Ukraine.
