Australia imposes sanctions on Russian media representatives

Australia has included several journalists and civil servants from Russia, including Director General of the Rossiya Segodnya international news agency, Dmitry Kiselyov, First Deputy Director of the Federal Security Service, Sergei Korolev, Director General at RT, Alexei Nikolov, Acting Minister of Emergency Situations, Alexander Chupriyan, in the sanctions list. 

"War correspondent of All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK), Yevgeny Poddubny, Komsomolskaya Pravda military correspondent, Alexander Kots, Komsomolskaya Pravda special correspondent, Dmitriy Steshin, VGTRK host, Sergey Brilev, Channel One host, Mikhail Leontiev, director of the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War, Alexander Shkolnik, First Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Nikolay Bogdanovsky, Director General of Gazprom-Media, Alexander Zharov, were also included in that sanctions list," Prime reports referring to the data on the website of the Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia.

PMC "Wagner" was also in the list.

Moreover, measures were taken against two Belarusian enterprises, namely, the manufacturer of tracked combat vehicles Minotor-Service and KB Radar JSC.

The sanctions also affected Ukrainian MP Ilya Kiva, deprived of the mandate, and ex-Ukrainian MP Taras Kozak.
