Axios: White House weighs new strikes on Iran after Trump warning

US President Donald Trump convened a meeting in the White House Situation Room on Wednesday, June 10, to discuss the possibility of launching further strikes against Iran, according to a report by Axios.

Citing two US sources, Axios correspondent Barak Ravid said the discussions focused on potential military options, including additional attacks aimed at increasing pressure on Tehran.

The meeting took place just hours after Trump said the United States would “hit them again hard today,” signalling the prospect of imminent action.

Among the options under consideration is a large-scale but short-duration military operation designed to compel Iran to shift its stance in ongoing negotiations, the report said.
