AZAL cancels Baku–Moscow flights due to adverse weather Official statement

Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has cancelled several flights between Baku and Moscow due to unfavourable weather conditions.

Flights operating on the Baku–Moscow (Vnukovo)–Baku route under numbers J2 805 and J2 806 were cancelled as a result of the weather disruption, the airline’s press service told Caliber.Az.

AZAL said it implemented all required passenger service measures to minimise inconvenience. Affected passengers were offered alternative travel options, and refunds were provided where applicable.

Some passengers from the cancelled flights were rebooked and transported on other AZAL services, including flights J2 809 and J2 810. Passengers who were in Moscow and chose not to use alternative flight options were issued full ticket refunds.

The airline apologised for the disruption and thanked passengers for their understanding and patience.
