AZAL expands route network with new flights to western Kazakhstan
Azerbaijan's national carrier is expanding its route network with the launch of direct scheduled flights to Atyrau and Aktobe in Kazakhstan.
The new services will strengthen air connectivity between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan while offering passengers more travel options, as Caliber.Az reports citing Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) press briefing.
Tickets for both routes have been released for sale, with the inaugural flights from Baku to Atyrau and Aktobe scheduled for August 16 and September 16, respectively.

The new routes will provide direct air links to two of western Kazakhstan's key economic hubs, making business travel more convenient while creating new opportunities for tourism and people-to-people exchanges.
Atyrau is one of Kazakhstan's largest oil and gas centers and a major economic hub in the Caspian region, while Aktobe is one of the country's leading regional cities, with a well-developed industrial, logistics, and commercial infrastructure.
Tickets are available through AZAL's official website, mobile app, ticket offices, and accredited travel agencies.
The Baku–Atyrau–Baku route will operate four times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with the Baku–Aktobe–Baku service to operate three times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
