AZAL staff pay tribute to Azerbaijani National Hero Hokuma Aliyeva PHOTO

The staff of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) visited the grave of Azerbaijan’s National Hero Hokuma Aliyeva at the Second Alley of Honor on the International Flight Attendant Day.

Participants of the ceremony paid tribute to Aliyeva’s memory, laid flowers at her grave, and reflected on her life, courage, and selfless dedication, Caliber.Az reports.

AZAL representatives also honored the memory of National Heroes of Azerbaijan — pilots Igor Kshnyakin and Alexander Kalyaninov.

By decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated December 29, 2024, Hokuma Jalil gizi Aliyeva was posthumously awarded the honorary title of National Hero of Azerbaijan for her exceptional professionalism and self-sacrifice in the line of duty, as well as for saving passengers during the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer 190 operating the Baku–Grozny flight.
