Azerbaijan advances demining operations in liberated lands OVER 200 MINES DEFUSED
The Mine Action Agency of the Azerbaijan Republic (ANAMA) has released its weekly report on demining operations conducted in the liberated Azerbaijani territories from September 30 to October 6.
During the reporting period, 159 antipersonnel mines, 73 antitank mines, and 415 unexploded ordnance were revealed in Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankendi, Kalbajar, Gubadli, Khojavend, Jabrayil, and Zangilan, ANAMA told Caliber.Az.
A total of 2945.1 hectares have been cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance.
The demining efforts are a joint initiative led by ANAMA, alongside the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the State Border Service, all working tirelessly to secure the liberated regions and facilitate the safe return of civilians to their everyday lives.
ANAMA's continuous efforts highlight Azerbaijan's dedication to post-conflict reconstruction and humanitarian assistance in the areas impacted by the conflict.
The successful demining operations emphasise the commitment and efficiency of ANAMA and its partners in reducing the dangers posed by unexploded ordnance, contributing to the recovery and development of the liberated territories.
