Azerbaijan advances global justice ties at 30th international prosecutors’ conference in Singapore PHOTO

Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev has embarked on an official visit to Singapore to attend the 30th Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), scheduled for September 7-10, 2025.

According to a statement from the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani delegation, led by Aliyev, arrived in Singapore to engage in high-level discussions focusing on the integration of advanced information and communication technologies within law enforcement frameworks, Caliber.Az reports.

Key topics slated for debate at the conference include the application of artificial intelligence, innovative strategies for combating cybercrime, and fostering enhanced international cooperation among prosecutors' offices. The event aims to facilitate the development and implementation of joint initiatives designed to address emerging challenges in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Ramil Rzayev, is also participating in the conference, underscoring the country’s commitment to strengthening multilateral collaboration in the field of criminal justice and law enforcement.

The 30th Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) is hosted by the Attorney-General’s Chambers of Singapore in collaboration with the IAP.

The conference center around the overarching theme, “The Versatile Prosecutor,” emphasizing the specialized expertise and multidisciplinary skills that prosecutors must develop to effectively navigate the ever-evolving landscape of criminal justice.

Participants will engage in plenary sessions and workshops addressing cutting-edge topics such as the deployment of emerging technologies in both the commission and prosecution of crimes, innovations in legal education and professional training, and the promotion of mental wellness and resilience among prosecutors.
