Azerbaijan advances in world ranking on mobile internet speed in May
Azerbaijan ranked 116th among 181 countries on fixed broadband internet speed in May 2023. The average download speed was 29.14 Mbps.
According to Report with reference to the Speedtest Global Index, the position of Azerbaijan has remained unchanged.
In the ranking of fixed broadband speeds, Singapore (242.35 MB/s) took first place and Cuba (1.93 MB/s) came in last place.
In May Azerbaijan moved up three notches in mobile Internet speed, taking 55th place (40.97MB/s) among 140 countries.
In the list of mobile operators the UAE ranked first (181.79 MB/s) and Afghanistan - last (4.3 MB/s).
In addition, in May, the city of Baku has moved up two steps on the speed of mobile Internet (43.08 MB / s), taking 72 place among the 172 cities. Dubai is ranked first for mobile internet speed - 207.35 MB/sec, while Khartoum, the capital of Sudan - 1.07 MB/sec.
The capital of Azerbaijan has dropped down by one step on the fixed broadband speed and holds 137th place (31.27 MB/s).
The rating of the cities with fixed broadband Internet includes 190 cities. China's capital Beijing topped the list (268.09 MB/s), while Havana was last in the ranking (1.83 MB/s).
