Azerbaijan Air Force receives high marks in combat readiness inspections PHOTO

As part of the 2026 training plan, the Azerbaijani Air Force underwent comprehensive inspections to assess the readiness, training, and operational capabilities of its personnel and units.

The inspection commenced with a ceremonial visit to the bust of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, situated within the grounds of the military unit. This was followed by a review drill of the military personnel and an inspection of the material training base, culminating in a ceremonial march past the grandstand, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan's Defence Ministry.

The Main Military Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defence evaluated multiple aspects of Air Force operations, including the level of combat readiness, organization and conduct of combat duty, state of logistical and technical support, and the effectiveness of headquarters operations. Personnel were also assessed on command training and physical fitness standards.

Meetings were subsequently held with flight and technical staff to examine the combat readiness of military aviation. The inspection included evaluations of operational capabilities, processes for effective deployment, as well as assessments of runways and simulator classrooms.

“The flight experience of military pilots and the execution of training exercises in accordance with the plan were thoroughly evaluated. The professional level of personnel, mastery of modern weapons and equipment, and the quality of training and exercises were closely examined,” the report noted.

Based on the results, the service and combat activities of the Air Force, along with the training and combat skills of its personnel, were assessed positively, reflecting a high level of operational preparedness and professional competence across the branch.
