Azerbaijan Airlines cancels flight from Russia to Baku
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has cancelled its scheduled flight J2 8576 from Kazan to Baku, which was set to depart on 28 December at 23:15 local time.
The cancellation was reported by Caliber.Az, citing Russian media sources, though no official explanation has been provided by the airline.
According to Kazan International Airport’s online departure board, the next flight to Baku is scheduled for 30 December at the same time, 23:15, with an expected arrival in the Azerbaijani capital on 31 December at 02:15.
Notably, Kazan is not included in the list of 10 Russian cities where flights to Azerbaijan have been temporarily suspended by a decision of Azerbaijan’s State Civil Aviation Agency. The suspension applies to destinations such as Mineralnye Vody, Sochi, Volgograd, Ufa, Samara, Saratov, Nizhny Novgorod, Vladikavkaz, Grozny, and Makhachkala, impacting flights by all carriers operating on these routes.
