Azerbaijan Airlines flight stuck in Moscow for over 24 hours due to airspace closure VIDEO
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) flight from Moscow to Baku has been unable to depart for nearly 24 hours.
Passengers on the flight, who are forced to wait for departure at Moscow's Vnukovo airport, told the Russian Telegram channel SHOT that the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) flight from Moscow (Vnukovo) to Baku (Heydar Aliyev International Airport) has already been postponed six times.
The channel writes that people have been waiting for their flight for almost a day. They were given meal vouchers, and some were offered hotel accommodation.
People are spending the night on the floor and in cafes while waiting for their flight at Moscow's Vnukovo airport, the channel said.
"People are sleeping on the floor, in cafes, or on chairs. Some have been waiting for 24 hours, and some airlines are not providing vouchers, and when they do, it's for very small amounts," one passenger told SHOT.
The AZAL press service told Caliber.Az that the delay is due to the closure of airspace over Moscow.
