Azerbaijan airlines resumes flights to Nakhchivan PHOTO
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has resumed direct flights between Baku and Nakhchivan, following a temporary disruption caused by drone attacks last week.
Passengers on flight J2 252 from Nakhchivan to Baku are currently checking in at Nakhchivan International Airport, while the plane that departed from Baku is scheduled to land at the airport shortly, Caliber.Az reports per Azertag.
The airline has confirmed that, starting March 10, flights to Nakhchivan will continue operating as usual.
The resumption of flights follows drone strikes on March 5 launched from Iranian territory, which targeted locations in Nakhchivan. One drone struck the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport, while another fell near a school in Shakarabad village. The drone that struck airport territory injured four civilians.
