Azerbaijan airlines suspends flights to several Middle East destinations
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has suspended flights to several Middle Eastern destinations due to airspace restrictions linked to the ongoing security situation in the region.
In a statement, the press service of Azerbaijan Airlines said services to Dubai, Doha, Jeddah and Tel Aviv have been temporarily halted, Caliber.Az reports.
The airline added that passengers holding tickets for the affected routes may return or exchange them without penalty.
Flights to Nakhchivan continue to operate as scheduled, according to the carrier.
The airline said it is closely monitoring developments and taking all necessary measures to ensure flight safety. Passengers will be informed promptly of any further changes. For additional information, customers are advised to contact the airline directly via email at callcenter@azal.az.
Earlier, the airline stated that three of its flights had to return to Baku following the closure of Iranian and Israeli airspace.
