Azerbaijan, Argentina discuss developement of legal cooperation PHOTO
Azerbaijan's Deputy Prosecutor General, Heydar Mammadov, has participated in significant international meetings in Argentina this week, including the 59th Executive Committee meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), held from April 7 to 9 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Mammadov, leading a high-level Azerbaijani delegation, delivered a speech at the event, conveying greetings from Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General and IAP Vice President Kamran Aliyev, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan.
He highlighted the successful outcomes of the 29th Annual Conference and General Assembly of the IAP, which took place in Baku in late 2023.
Mammadov emphasized that the event, supported by President Ilham Aliyev, was a resounding success, showcasing Azerbaijan’s growing role in international legal cooperation.
The meeting also addressed the future development of the IAP, the election of new members, and the organization of upcoming global events. Mamedov’s participation underscores Azerbaijan’s active engagement in fostering international legal ties and strengthening partnerships across the globe.
During his visit, Mammadov held bilateral discussions with the IAP president and fellow prosecutors from Argentina, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Chile, Kenya, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. The talks focused on enhancing international legal cooperation and advancing mutual interests.
