Azerbaijan-backed inclusive education lab opens at University of Jordan
The University of Jordan has inaugurated a new inclusive education laboratory dedicated to students with disabilities, made possible through support from Azerbaijan.
The opening ceremony was attended by key figures including university rector Nathir Obeidat, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Jordan Eldar Salimov, head of the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) Elmaddin Mehdiyev, alongside diplomats, academic representatives, and students, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Azerbaijan, through AIDA, provided cutting-edge equipment and assistive software to equip the laboratory. These innovations are designed to address the specific needs of students with disabilities, fostering greater academic achievement and social inclusion.
A promotional video highlighting Azerbaijan’s cultural landmarks was also showcased during the event. This initiative follows a previous Azerbaijani-supported project at Jordan University, where a computer laboratory for students with disabilities was established and equipped by AIDA, reinforcing Azerbaijan’s ongoing commitment to educational inclusivity in Jordan.
