Azerbaijan, Cambodia sign tourism cooperation deal
Azerbaijan and Cambodia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost cooperation in the field of tourism, officials announced during a recent visit by an Azerbaijani government delegation to Phnom Penh.
The agreement was signed between Azerbaijan’s State Tourism Agency and Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism, with the Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The MoU is aimed at enhancing bilateral collaboration and increasing mutual tourist flows between the two countries.
“Azerbaijan is interested in cooperating and exchanging experience with Cambodia in the field of tourism. At the same time, we want to encourage an increase in mutual tourist flows,” Mammadov told local journalists while commenting on the memorandum.
He added that the agreement would facilitate close cooperation between the tourism institutions of both countries, supported by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
