Azerbaijan, China discuss aviation, tourism cooperation PHOTO
AZAL President Jahangir Asgarov and Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Guo Min discussed prospects of cooperation in the aviation sphere and tourism development.
The sides discussed the issue of resumption of flights between the capitals of Azerbaijan and China, Caliber.Az reports per the press service of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC.
These steps testify to the desire of both sides to expand cooperation, which will strengthen business ties, cultural exchanges and tourism development between the two countries.
In addition, the parties discussed the prospects for opening direct flights between Baku and the capital of Sichuan province in China. Chengdu, with its rich architecture and historical monuments, is of great interest to tourists and travellers.
It should be noted that earlier during the working visit of the Baku Municipality delegation led by the head of the Executive Power Eldar Azizov to Sichuan Province at the invitation of the PRC Administration, Sichuan Governor Huang Qian expressed interest of the Chinese side in the opening of Chengdu-Baku flight.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the parties, friendly and partnership relations were established between Baku and Sichuan Province.
At the end of the meeting, AZAL President Jahangir Askerov and Ambassador Guo Min expressed confidence that such initiatives are aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries and creating new prospects for tourism and business development.
