Azerbaijan, China’s Xinhua sign cooperation pact at international media forum PHOTO

Azerbaijan’s Media Development Agency (MEDIA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation with China’s Xinhua News Agency during the Global South Forum in Yunnan Province, China. 

The agreement was formalised by Ahmad Ismailov, Executive Director of MEDIA, and Fu Hua, President of Xinhua, marking a significant step in strengthening media collaboration between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports per MEDIA. 

The Global South Forum brings together approximately 500 delegates representing over 260 organisations from 110 countries, including international and regional institutions. Participants include representatives from the media, think tanks, government agencies, the business sector, and academic institutions.

The forum aims to foster dialogue between civilizations, explore new avenues of cooperation, and promote peaceful consensus on global issues.

The program includes plenary sessions, the 4th Yunnan International Forum on Communications, Artificial Intelligence and Media, the Think Tank Forum, the Youth Dialogue Forum, and the Global South World Heritage Forum.
