Azerbaijan, CIS Prosecutors’ Council collaborate ahead of international conference
Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General, Kamran Aliyev, has met with Yuri Zhdanov, Executive Secretary of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS member states, during the latter’s official visit to Azerbaijan.
Zhdanov arrived in the country to participate in the upcoming international conference titled “National Leader Heydar Aliyev – Author of the Constitution of Independent Azerbaijan,” set to be held in Lachin district on August 22, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The event is part of a broader initiative to honor the constitutional legacy of the late Azerbaijani leader and his enduring role in shaping the country's legal framework.
During the meeting, Aliyev and Zhdanov reviewed ongoing cooperation among the prosecutorial bodies of CIS member states and discussed organizational matters related to the 30th anniversary of the Coordination Council’s founding. The two sides also exchanged views on preparations for the Council’s 35th session, which is scheduled to take place in October 2025 in Tajikistan.
