Azerbaijan commemorates victims of military helicopter crash on its first anniversary

One year has passed since the military helicopter with 16 high-ranking officers onboard crashed while carrying out training flights at Garaheybat aviation training ground located in Khizi Region.

The tragic accident occurred at around 10:40 am local time on November 30, 2021, with a helicopter belonging to the Azerbaijani State Border Service, APA reports.

Sadly, the tragedy resulted in the death of 14 officers with two officers severely injured.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigation Department of Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General's Office under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and the prosecutor general took under special control the investigation of the criminal case.
