Azerbaijan continues construction of new station in Baku Metro PHOTO
Azerbaijan’s state-run company Baku Metro has been continuing the reconstruction of new metro station in the capital Baku, said the company’s spokesman Bakhtiyar Mammadov, Caliber.Az reports.
The underground station, conditionally named B4 "Purple Line", is located on the capital’s Jalil Mammadguluzade street, Mammadov said.
He noted that the station will be the fifth of its kind on the Purple Line.
“The tunnels to B-4 from the ‘November 8’ station have long been ready, and installation work is now underway inside them. By the end of next year, and no later than the beginning of 2024, we will be able to complete the main construction phase of all four floors of the B-4 station. After that, the installation and commissioning of the equipment should be completed,” Mammadov said.
During 2023, a final date for the opening of the station will be given based on the pace of construction, he added.
