Azerbaijan customs seize nearly 64 kilograms of cannabis hidden in kiwi shipment VIDEO

Officers from Azerbaijan’s State Customs Service of Azerbaijan have seized a large quantity of cannabis concealed inside a commercial cargo shipment, authorities said.

According to the agency, the drugs were discovered during an inspection at the Astara customs post, operated by the Astara Customs Department on the country’s southern border, Caliber.Az reports.

Customs officers stopped a lorry that had declared its cargo as “kiwi.” During a detailed inspection, officials uncovered 63 kilograms and 790 grams of cannabis hidden within the consignment.

The narcotics were confiscated, and an investigation has been launched to determine the origin and intended destination of the shipment, as well as those involved in the smuggling attempt.
