Azerbaijan deepens legal ties with CIS ahead of key Russian events PHOTO
Kamran Aliyev, Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, hosted Yuri Zhdanov, Executive Secretary of the Coordinating Council of CIS Prosecutors General, in a meeting highlighting ongoing cooperation and regional legal collaboration.
The Azerbaijani Prosecutor General’s press service reported that Aliyev underscored the Council’s pivotal role in coordinating work among CIS prosecutorial bodies and commended the organization’s achievements, Caliber.Az reports.
Noting Zhdanov’s visit to Azerbaijan, Aliyev emphasized that it reflects the strength of business relations and the continuity of ties based on mutual trust.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Zhdanov stressed the importance of expanding legal cooperation with Azerbaijan. He praised the proactive role and initiatives of the Azerbaijani Prosecutor’s Office within the Coordinating Council of CIS Prosecutors General and expressed confidence in further development of joint projects and practical collaboration.
The meeting also covered preparations for the 36th session of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutors General of CIS member states, set to take place in Kazan in September, as well as a session scheduled in Saint Petersburg in March. Zhdanov formally invited Azerbaijan to participate in both events.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening legal cooperation and advancing mutual activities within the CIS framework, signaling continued engagement and collaboration in the region.
