Azerbaijan demonstrates tourism opportunities at exhibition in Russia
Azerbaijan has demonstrated the wide tourism opportunities at the International Exhibition of Tourism and Hospitality Industry MITT 2023 in Russia’s capital Moscow.
The opportunities of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), Shahdag Winter and Summer Tourism Complex, the Museum of Mountain Jews and Absheron Hotel Group, etc., a total of eight companies and organisations, are demonstrated in the 108 square metre-pavilion, created by the Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency and the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, Report informs.
Visitors can get information about Azerbaijani history, culture, national cuisine, ski resorts, winemaking, health, mountain and winter tourism opportunities, as well as Jewish heritage in Azerbaijan.
The number of tourists from Russia coming to Azerbaijan is constantly growing.
More than 75,200 Russian tourists visited Azerbaijan during the first two months of 2023, which is 51 per cent more than in the same period of 2022.
Some 400 direct flights were made from 14 Russian cities to Baku in February.
The representatives of 24 foreign countries are participating in the MITT 2023 exhibition, which will last until March 18.
