Azerbaijan deports over 500 foreign nationals for migration law violations

A total of 502 foreign nationals were deported from Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2025 for violating migration laws.

The deported individuals have been barred from reentering the country for a legally prescribed period, Caliber.Az reports, citing the country's State Migration Service.

In addition to the deportations, some foreign nationals were granted permission to either legalize their stay in Azerbaijan or voluntarily leave the country.

According to the Service, a total of 4,366 administrative decisions were issued during the reporting period concerning illegal stay, residence, and employment of foreign nationals and stateless persons in Azerbaijan.
