Azerbaijan diaspora chief meets community in Dublin ahead of Independence Day PHOTO
Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora, held a meeting with members of the Azerbaijani community in Dublin, according to domestic media reports citing the committee.
The gathering was organised ahead of Azerbaijan Independence Day. During the meeting, Muradov outlined the work of Coordination Councils, Azerbaijan Houses, and Sunday schools, highlighting the active engagement of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Ireland.
Also addressing the meeting, Eltay Aslanov, First Secretary of the Embassy of Azerbaijan to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, pointed to the strengthening and rapid development of the Azerbaijani community in Ireland.
Participants in the event also elected a new coordinator for the Coordination Council of Azerbaijanis in Ireland.
The meeting concluded with an artistic program dedicated to Azerbaijan’s Independence Day.
