Azerbaijani Health Minister Teymur Musayev and his Moldova counterpart Ala Nemerenco, as well as the state secretaries of the Ministry of Health of Montenegro, Sladana Coric and Vladimir Obradovic have discussed medical cooperation
Welcoming the guests, Musayev stressed the successful cooperation between the countries in many areas, Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of the Health Ministry.
Musayev noted that there is a wide potential for the development of the existing cooperation relations in the healthcare sector.

In conclusion, the Azerbaijani health minister expressed hope that cooperation between the ministries of health of the countries would continue at a new level.
In her speech, the Director of Country Strategies and Health Systems of the WHO Regional Office for Europe emphasized the fruitful cooperation between WHO and Azerbaijan. Natasha Azzopardi-Muscat also thanked the leadership of Azerbaijan for humane steps in the fight against coronavirus infection at the global level.
In turn, Nemerenco, Coric and Obradovic noted that their countries attach great importance to strengthening bilateral relations with Azerbaijan. They also stressed the importance of dynamic cooperation in the field of health and medical science.
In addition, in their speeches, the guests touched upon such aspects as the use of modern management approaches in healthcare, improving the process of training medical personnel, developing a double degree program, and establishing cooperation on the introduction of digitalization of healthcare systems.
The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Department of Country Strategies and Health Systems of the WHO Regional Office for Europe Natasha Azzopardi-Muscat, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Azerbaijan Alexander Esaulenko and Deputy Minister of Finance of Tajikistan Sarvar Kurboniyon.
