Azerbaijan foils drone drug drop from Iran

Azerbaijani border guards have intercepted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of narcotic drugs from Iran into Azerbaijan using a drone, the State Border Service has reported.
According to the Service, the incident took place on October 13 within the operational zone of the Horadiz border detachment, Caliber.Az reports.
During the operation, officers discovered and seized 980 tablets of the narcotic substance “Methadone M-40” that had been dropped from the unmanned aerial vehicle.
The authorities have launched an investigation and continue to carry out operational and investigative measures in connection with the incident.
