Azerbaijan foils major cannabis smuggling attempt from Iran

Azerbaijani border guards successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle 7.7 kilograms of cannabis from Iran into Azerbaijan.

The operation was conducted within the jurisdiction of the Goytapa border detachment of the State Border Service, Caliber.Az reports.

The seizure was part of a broader series of border security operations.

Following the interception, authorities have commenced additional operational and investigative measures to address the smuggling attempt.
