Azerbaijan-Georgia friendship should last for centuries, says journalist

Azerbaijan and Georgia are not only strategic partners but also close friends whose relationship should endure for generations, Georgian television presenter Nana Nebieridze said.

Speaking to journalists in Baku, Nebieridze, a presenter with Georgian broadcaster POSTV, highlighted the strong ties between the two neighboring countries, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

Nebieridze was commenting on her upcoming visit to Karabakh, which she said would be her first trip to the region.

“I have not yet been to Karabakh. I want to quote a great man — President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who said: ‘Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’ I want to congratulate the entire Azerbaijani people on liberating your territories,” she said.

She also spoke about her visit to Baku’s Victory Museum, saying the experience had left a lasting impression.

“We visited the museum today, and it made a tremendous impression on me,” Nebieridze said.

The Georgian journalist expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for inviting a Georgian media delegation to the country, saying the trip had provided an opportunity to meet new people and build new friendships.

“I want to thank the Azerbaijani side for inviting us on this wonderful trip. Thanks to it, I have met new people and made new acquaintances and friends,” she said.

Nebieridze underscored the close relationship between Azerbaijan and Georgia, stressing that their partnership extends beyond strategic cooperation.

“Azerbaijan and Georgia are not only strategic partners. First and foremost, we are friends, and we love each other,” she added.
