Azerbaijan, Greece strengthen cooperation in healthcare PHOTO
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Health, Teymur Musayev, has held talks with Greece’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Maria Papakonstantinou, during which the two sides discussed expanding cooperation in the healthcare sector.
During a meeting in Baku, the officials exchanged views on the development of healthcare systems, medical education, training of qualified personnel, digital health solutions, and potential cooperation in public health, Caliber.Az reports, citing the ministry.
Musayev briefed the Greek side on ongoing healthcare reforms in Azerbaijan, including efforts to improve public access to medical services, digitalisation initiatives, and the modernisation of healthcare infrastructure.
The Ambassador thanked the hosts for their warm reception and stated that Greece places significant value on strengthening cooperation with Azerbaijan in the healthcare sector.
He underlined the shared interest in further broadening ties between the relevant institutions of both countries.
The meeting also included a discussion and exchange of views on other topics of mutual concern.
