Azerbaijan hails monitoring of water resources originating in Armenia
Islam Mustafayev, head of the Radiation Problems Institute of Azerbaijan's National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), has said that the environmental monitoring of water resources originating in Armenia is of particular importance.
He added that important steps are being taken in this sphere, Report informs
“Special attention is paid to environmental issues in the 'First State Programme for the Great Return to the Liberated Territories', approved by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on November 16,” Mustafayev said.
The director general noted that the president has repeatedly stated that Karabakh will turn into a "green energy" zone.
“This means that radiation control will be strengthened in these territories,” Mustafayev stressed.
“Heat and electricity will be produced by using wind and solar energy in the future, as part of the creation of the green energy zone,” he added.
