Azerbaijan introduces digital platform for tourists, skilled professionals
Azerbaijan is set to introduce Digital Tourist Visa and Digital Talent Visa programs by the end of 2026, which will operate through a unified digital platform.
The initiatives are part of the Action Plan for Accelerating Digital Development for 2026–2028, approved by President Ilham Aliyev. The plan aims to modernize digital infrastructure and streamline processes for visitors and skilled professionals entering the country, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The roadmap also envisions a special tax regime, benefits in social insurance and residency, and a revision of currency transfer regulations to facilitate business and personal transactions.
In addition, migration requirements for specialists in the innovation sector and their families will be simplified, making it easier to attract foreign talent. Funding for the initiatives will be provided through the state budget and other legally established sources.
