Azerbaijan investigating death of four servicemen in Lachin

The Gubadli Military Prosecutor's Office has been informed about the death of four Azerbaijani servicemen in the Lachin district.

In response, personnel from the Gubadli Military Prosecutor's Office, along with experts from the Forensic Department of the Azerbaijani Military Prosecutor's Office, have conducted an investigation at the scene, the Azerbaijani Military Prosecutor's Office told Caliber.Az.

They have examined the bodies, collected relevant evidence, and gathered testimonies. Further forensic expertise will be conducted to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The investigation is underway.

Four Azerbaijani servicemen tragically lost their lives in an incident involving alleged poisoning while swimming in thermal waters in the Lachin district.

The bodies of Captain Asif Emnaliyev, Warrant Officer Farid Jabrayilov, Sergeant Tural Samadov, and Sergeant Emin Shahmarli were discovered on July 30.
