Azerbaijan, Israel expand pharmaceutical ties PHOTO

The Azerbaijan Ministry of Health held a meeting with the leadership of BioPharmax, one of Israel's leading companies producing medical products.

The press service of the ministry told Caliber.Az that Azerbaijan's Health Minister Teymur Musayev greeted the guests and emphasised effective Azerbaijani-Israeli cooperation in health and medical science areas. The minister said the countries successfully cooperate in virology, microbiology, and other high-tech areas of public health.

Highlighting successful relations between the two countries in the field of pharmaceutics, Teymur Musayev said that Israel has built a strong pharmaceutical industry, a vast scientific research base, and innovations in the production of medicines.

In conclusion, the minister expressed hope for further development of cooperation.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, Biopharmax vice-president Yossi Tzabari said that the company he represents is interested in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan on research in the field of digital transformation of health and other areas.

During the meeting, the prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed. The sides also exchanged views on the implementation of high-tech equipment produced by BioPharmax in the healthcare sector of Azerbaijan and other issues of mutual interest.
