Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan explore new migration cooperation
Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan held their first bilateral consultations on migration issues via video conference, officials reported.
The discussions took place under the framework of the intergovernmental agreement between the two countries, the State Migration Service (SMS) of Azerbaijan said.
The Azerbaijani delegation was led by the Head of the Main Department of Migration Policy and Legal Support at the SMS, while the Kyrgyz side was represented by the Head of the Foreign Migration Department of the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration.
During the talks, both sides exchanged information on their respective migration legislation and shared experiences in managing migration processes. They also explored potential new areas of cooperation in the field of migration.
