Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Morocco, Nazim Samadov, held a meeting with the country's Minister of National Defence, Abdellatif Loudiyi.
During the meeting, Loudiyi highlighted the vast opportunities for further developing relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco, Caliber.Az reports.
Ambassador Samadov emphasised that Azerbaijani-Moroccan ties have significantly expanded across various sectors in recent years.
He spoke about numerous reciprocal visits and the signed agreements, underscoring the importance of enhancing the legal framework governing their bilateral relations.
The discussions also covered other topics of mutual interest. In conclusion, Ambassador Samadov extended an invitation to Minister Loudiyi to visit Azerbaijan.
Notably, Azerbaijan and Morocco have abolished visa requirements for their citizens, allowing Azerbaijani nationals to travel to Morocco for stays of up to 90 days without a visa, provided their passports are valid for at least 180 days from the date of entry. Similarly, Moroccan citizens can now visit Azerbaijan visa-free.
This new arrangement, which took effect on August 28, 2024, coincides with the 32nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, established in 1992. It is expected to boost travel, tourism, and business exchanges, reflecting the strong commitment to enhancing the bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Morocco.
